Assistant Operations Manager (Full time) - Woburn, MA

We are currently seeking an Assistant Operations Manager for our Boston operation. This is a hands on position and will be based in Woburn, MA.Responsibilities will include overall management of operations functions for the Boston marketplace; recruiting, training, coaching and managing of Boston operations staff. This position will be responsible for managing the inventory process, which includes receiving of product, transporting product to our satellite facilities and managing our inventory system. This position will ensure the consistent demonstration of excellent customer service processes within our operation. This positon will require significant field work, visiting our location partners verifying our service to these locations. This position will work collaboratively with your Sales counterpart on acquisition of new distribution locations; conceptualizing and implementing strategies and programs to achieve Company objectives; developing budget and performing ongoing management of divisional P/L; successfully guiding division towards attaining goals within budget, which includes but is not limited to, effectively managing expenses, while evaluating and implementing creative alternatives to streamline efficiencies and/or contain costs; managing daily warehouse functions; performing inventory management, quality control; facility and fleet maintenance.

 

Successful individual will possess an entrepreneurial spirit and demonstrated ability to proactively assume ownership of all operations-related activities in a fast-paced and often changing environment; minimum 3 years of prior management experience, preferably in a warehouse and/or transportation industry setting; superior customer-service orientation and professional communication skills (both written & verbal); excellent time management skills; above-average computer skills, including high-level of proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
